Our team offers a variety of farm and outdoor skills activities to augment your stay at Lower Marsh Farm. Arranged on request for groups of between 2 – 10 guests, these activities generally last about an hour and can be modified to meet your group (for example for young children).

Apple Pressing – in this seasonal workshop you will press farm grown apples into raw juice, learning about the process and then take a bottle from your efforts home. This is normally available between September and February. Lasting about an hour and suitable for children from about 3 years old with a responsible adult.

Fire making without matches – Forage for plants useful to making a fire, learn how to build and start a fire using flint ‘n steel sticks. This event is available all year round (subject to fairly dry weather) and suitable for children 4 years and older with a responsible adult.

Nature walk – a gentle walk around the farm and down to the river to learn about the plants found (and perhaps tasting some edible ones), identify wildlife tracks and poo, learn about how the land is managed. Perhaps add in some den building. This event is available all year round and suitable for all ages.

Vegetable gardening – learn about regenerative, soil-first no-dig practices, help with that days’ tasks (sowing, weeding, harvesting). This event is available all year round (subject to fairly dry weather) and suitable for children 2 years and older with a responsible adult.

Prices for 2 – 3 people is £20 each, 4 – 6 people is £15 each and 7 – 10 people is £13 each.
