The Space
Set in over 40 acres of grounds there is plenty of space to explore including River Tamar frontage with a private shingle tidal beach, woodland, Salt Marsh Nature Reserve and orchard with a tennis court (a selection of rackets and balls are available) if you are feeling active! There is also a games room with table tennis and a selection of board games / jigsaws / books / magazines that you can borrow.

The farm is in a rural location and managed for wildlife and the place buzzes with birds, deer, badgers and more. Access to the river where you can wild swim (tide dependant!) or just sit and watch the birds live. Options for walks from your door and further afield (Bodmin Moor, Dartmoor and South Coastal Path are all within 20 – 30 minutes drive away). If you do feel like leaving the farm, there are good pubs and restaurants nearby, beaches, off road cycling paths and plenty of other activities.

Internal lighting is solar powered on a rechargeable battery. This also allows the recharging of a phone / tablet on all but the cloudiest of days! The Boot room and Games room have plenty of power sockets for charging devices if needed.

You will be welcomed with a bag of logs plus kindling (sustainably cut from on the farm) and more are available to purchase. There is a small honesty shop which normally offers eggs and apple juice from the farm plus a small selection of other items from local producers. We also normally have some veg grown sustainably at the farm available.

An EV charger is available at the farm (request a tag when booking and you will be charged for the amount of electricity used).

No Smoking or Vaping

This includes all areas of the farm – both inside the property and all of the outside grounds.

Guest access
A modern shared bathroom is conveniently located a short walk away. As is a shared rustic field kitchen with under cover cooking / dining facilities. The bathroom and kitchen are shared with up to two other yurts (which also sleep 2 people each).

Other things to note
There are steep uneven steps between the bathroom and utility room (where fresh water and washing up facilities are located) and the meadow where the yurt is located.

Some lighting is present on the route but you should bring a torch.

We can help carry your luggage up to the yurt on arrival and departure if needed.

The will be other guests at the farm as there are 3 holiday lets and 3 yurts.

Dogs

You are welcome to bring your dog/s (at an extra charge of £20 per dog per stay). We provide a dog hamper with essentials like towels and a blanket (if required, a dog bed is available). Please be aware however, that we have resident chickens, ducks, geese, dogs and cows. Therefore, dogs do need to be well behaved and kept under control at all times.

Please be aware that no candles or the burning of anything except usage of the log burner is allowed.
