Thursday

  • Arrival from 3pm, time to settle into your accomodation and take your dog for a quick walk before orientation at 4.30pm with refreshments and snacks.
  • Dinner at 7.30pm

Friday

  • Breakfast from 9 – 10am
  • 11.30am – A lesson to learn to start a fire without matches after hunting around the farm for plants useful as tinder
  • Lunch at 1pm
  • 3pm – Wild food foraging workshop
  • Dinner at 7.30pm
  • Wine tasting at 8.30pm

Saturday

  • Breakfast from 9 – 10am
  • Stand-up paddleboard class – time is tide dependant
  • Lunch at 1pm
  • Massage treatments can be booked during the afternoon
  • Dinner at 7.30pm

Sunday

  • Breakfast from 9 – 10am
  • Lunch at 1pm
  • Massage treatments can be booked during the afternoon
  • Dinner at a local pub

Monday

  • Breakfast from 8 – 9.30am
  • Depart by 10am

Indicative menu

Breakfast – Selection of cereals with milk or yoghurt, Fruit salad, Sourdough bread, butter, jams, honey & peanut butter, Eggs (from the farm), individual yoghurt pots topped with crunchy granola and berry compote.

Lunch – Sourdough bread & dip, pickled vegetables, and a main dish such as soup with croutons, sweet potato hash or quiches.

Dinner – A main dish such as lasagne, tagine or curry plus a pudding such as chocolate torte, Cherry Bakewell cheesecake or Apple pie. If you want an alcoholic drink with your dinner, you are most welcome to bring your own (there is no corkage fee).

Meals will be served in our shared dining space seated around a communal table. Service times will be detailed in the itinerary.

We specialise in vegetarian and vegan food normally offering these options for meals but if you prefer a meat based dish, please just let us know.


What do you need to know?

  • There are resident chickens, ducks, peacocks, dogs and cows so dogs need to be well behaved and kept under control at all times.
  • Booking deposits are non-refundable and the balance is due 6 weeks prior to your arrival date. We do not provide holiday insurance and would recommend you take out your own cover.
  • The holiday itinerary is indicative and subject to change (for example due to weather, tide times and guest numbers).
  • Activities are undertaken at participants’ own risk.
  • We can provide dog towels, feeding mats and bowls, poo bags and have a selection of beds. You will need to bring everything you need for your pets comfort, especially their food :-).
  • You must keep your dog under control and pick up their poo for disposal in the bin provided. The farm is not a suitable place for reactive or agressive dogs. Dogs are not allowed on your bed (unless you bring your own bed linen and blankets) and should be washed down before being brought into your accomodation after a muddy etc walk. If you are joining a catered meal in the group dining room, then you must leave your dog in your accomodation.

On the farm there is wildlife galore including deer, badgers, otters, owls, bats and numerous ground wading birds plus chickens, ducks, Highland Cows and a dog!

Things to do locally

There are a fantastic selection of beaches to visit, walking routes, places to dine out and days out for everyone – you can find out more here.

We are Cornwall Wildlife Trust Members which gives our guests access to their wildlife education sessions for children which include mini-beast safaris, rock pooling events and bird box making. Some of these sessions are held at the farm!

We can also offer our guests discounted tickets for the Lost Gardens of Heligan.
