Located in the beautiful Tamar Valley on the Cornwall / Devon board, our spacious authentic ‘off grid’ yurts are set on our traditional gently sloping meadow, in a rural location overlooking the river and a Nature Reserve.

Inside, our yurts are furnished with king sized double bed and cosy log burner.

Outside, relax in rustic seating around a fire pit and just star gaze. The fire pit is also BBQ, marshmallow toaster, kettle boiler or even full English breakfast maker!

A modern shared bathroom is conveniently located a short walk away. As is a shared rustic field kitchen with under cover cooking / dining facilities.

Chenoweth Yurt is set in one meadow with views across to the church and down to the river. This yurt can be booked for up to 2 people.

Noss Mayo Yurt and Haye Yurt are 2 yurts set a good distance apart in a second meadow. Each yurt can sleep up to 2 people. Both have great views down to the river.

The Space
Set in over 40 acres of grounds there is plenty of space to explore including River Tamar frontage with a private shingle tidal beach, woodland, Salt Marsh Nature Reserve and orchard with a tennis court (a selection of rackets and balls are available) if you are feeling active! There is also a games room with table tennis and a selection of board games / jigsaws / books / magazines that you can borrow.

The farm is in a rural location and managed for wildlife and the place buzzes with birds, deer, badgers and more. Access to the river where you can wild swim (tide dependant!) or just sit and watch the birds live. Options for walks from your door and further afield (Bodmin Moor, Dartmoor and South Coastal Path are all within 20 – 30 minutes drive away). If you do feel like leaving the farm, there are good pubs and restaurants nearby, beaches, off road cycling paths and plenty of other activities.

Internal lighting is solar powered on a rechargeable battery. This also allows the recharging of a phone / tablet on all but the cloudiest of days! The Boot room and Games room have plenty of power sockets for charging devices if needed.

You will be welcomed with a bag of logs plus kindling (sustainably cut from on the farm) and more are available to purchase. There is a small honesty shop which normally offers eggs and apple juice from the farm plus a small selection of other items from local producers. We also normally have some veg grown sustainably at the farm available.

There are a number of bookable experiences and treats here at Lower Marsh Farm including private wild food foraging workshops, stand-up paddle board tuition, afternoon tea, suppers and more.

Guest access
A modern shared bathroom is conveniently located a short walk away. As is a shared rustic field kitchen with under cover cooking / dining facilities. The bathroom and kitchen are shared with up to two other yurts (which also sleep 2 people each).

Other things to note
There are steep uneven steps between the bathroom and utility room (where fresh water and washing up facilities are located) and the meadow where the yurt is located.

Some lighting is present on the route but you should bring a torch.

Access to shared facilities will be subject to social distancing guidelines and access for showers will be on a schedule (if the other yurts are occupied).

We can help carry your luggage up to the yurt on arrival and departure if needed.

The will be other guests at the farm as there are 3 holiday lets and 2 other yurts.
