Getting married at Lower Marsh Farm is wonderfully straightforward! As we’re a licensed wedding venue, you can hold your legal ceremony here, indoors or outdoors in any number of locations.

To arrange your ceremony:

  1. Provisionally reserve your wedding date with Lower Marsh Farm.
  2. Book your registrars directly with Cornwall Council’s My Cornwall Wedding team, online or by calling 0300 1234 181 (option 3). A small non-refundable deposit secures their attendance.
  3. Confirm your booking with Lower Marsh Farm and pay deposit.
  4. Give notice of marriage at your local register office. Both partners must give notice, normally in the district where they live.

How much notice do you need?

You must normally give notice at least 29 days before your wedding, although we recommend allowing three months where possible. Some couples, depending on immigration status, may need to allow up to 71 days.

Your notice is valid for 12 months, and you’ll need two witnesses for your ceremony (which we can provide if you are choosing an elopement).

Planning a last-minute wedding?

It may be possible to arrange everything in just a few weeks, provided the legal notice period can be met and registrars are available. We’re always happy to help you explore the options!
