Your elopement wedding can be as simple and intimate as you like – just the two of you, tying the knot somewhere beautiful and private. Or, if you’d like some of those lovely wedding-day touches, we can help arrange them too. Lower Marsh Farm sits on the Cornwall–Devon border in the beautiful Tamar Valley, close to Saltash and Plymouth, yet tucked away in the countryside and feeling a million miles from anywhere. It is the perfect location for your peaceful relaxed rustic elopement wedding!

From photography and flowers to a wedding breakfast and cake, we can connect you with trusted local suppliers chosen for their expertise and environmental credentials – and we can even coordinate everything for you, taking the hassle out of planning your elopement.

Want confetti? We’ll use sustainable flower petals gathered here at the farm – and, if you’d like, we’ll happily do the throwing for you!

Choose where you say your vows: in your private garden, beside the pool, by the river or in our atmospheric Well House ‘chapel’.

And because sustainability is at the heart of Lower Marsh Farm, your elopement can be a celebration that treads lightly on the planet. You’ll be choosing a venue surrounded by our re-wilded nature reserve, with regeneratively grown produce for breakfast and renewable energy from our solar panels.

Elopements: For up to 2 people

★ Stay in either Orchard Cottage or Bulrush Barn for 3 nights,
★ Licensed ceremony area, up to 2 witnesses,
★ Wedding coordination for up to 2 hours,
★ Cream tea on arrival,
★ Wedding bouquet & buttonhole(s), designed in colours to complement your style and wishes,
★ Breakfast hamper for each morning.

Weekends outside of peak dates (September – March), or midweek any time of year

Weekends in peak season (April – August) – this includes use of the swimming pool

We often have elopement dates available at relatively short notice, from a few weeks to a few months ahead. The calendars below give an indication of our availability, but please contact us first to confirm and provisionally hold your preferred date before booking your registrar.
